Astronaut Thomas Pesquet captured from ISS the Rocky Mountains in the western North America.
The Rockies are a 4,000m-class major mountain range stretching over 4,800 km from the northernmost part of British Columbia, Canada, to New Mexico, U.S.
Much of the mountain range is protected by public parks and forest lands, and is a popular tourist destination, especially for hiking, camping, etc. The local scenery on the ground of Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada is as follows.
Please take a look at the Rockies previously introduced in No.19 Canadian Rockies”.
