Astronaut Sergey Ryazansky captured from ISS Suez Canal and Suez City, Egypt.

The Suez Canal is a sea-level waterway in Egypt, connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea through the Isthmus of Suez. Constructed by the Suez Canal Company between 1859 and 1869, it was officially opened on 17 November 1869. In August 2014, construction was launched to expand and widen the Ballah Bypass for 35km to speed the canal’s transit time. and on 24 February 2016, the Suez Canal Authority officially opened the new side channel.
